The construction of the Eggentaler Road in 1860 led to Josef Wiedenhofer becoming the imperial and royal postmaster of Austria-Hungary because of the ideal location of his farmstead. The need to shelter horses and accommodate the region’s first visitors resulted in the establishment of the inn "Zum Goldenen Rößl".
